neglect of mentally ill ppl has been going on for yrs and yrs and yrs--my mother and brother were both sent to Ogdensburg NY mental hospital; they had no treatment; they did not get better; they were medicated and walked around like zombies; my brother ended up killing himself; this was at least 50 yrs ago.

Hey, the right to die (when nothing will "mke you whole") should be up to the person; I am 80 and, so far, in good health but if I were in the position to never get well, keep my loved ones dangling, I would prefer to die with dignity.
