I have a friend who lives in sunny Southern California. He installed solar panels on his house and he accumulated so much "electricity" that Southern California Edison often purchases some of the energy from him. He said at least it helps cover his gas and grocery bills.

Exactly. This author doesn't realize that other things require gas too. Another example would be our postal service. Postal delivery trucks use gas too. So what happens if gas goes up? Dear MSN readers, couple counterpoints I would like to make if I may.
Fewer people will die on the road. First of all, people die on the road because of distraction or alcohol but not because of gas! I even noticed that people are driving slower these days to conserve gas and I commute 30 minutes everyday.
