Hey, my mom was a teacher for 35 years, I also taught for 6 years before moving on to other interests, so I have nothing but respect for the profession. However, we have all had the teacher (like the only referenced in this article) that was just plain awful. Just like there are terrible lawyers, doctors, contractors a...more

7 things parents blame on teachers

Teachers generally get paid monthly, and it's such a small amount that people currently working at McDonalds laugh. The truth of the matter is, parent accountability is at an all time low, and teacher accountability is at an unforeseen high. As a society we now expect teachers to not only enrich our students academical...more

I attended (at the time) one of the largest party schools in the nation. Although we all had our crazy moments, the institution carried a 68% percent graduation rate, and 9/10 of us earned our bachelors degree in 4 years. However, if you are going to try and convince me that it is in my best interest to pay a nearly 40% tax rate, while Romney and the rest of the one perc...more

2 months until next budget crisis?

Nope, my white trash sister and niece have been abusing the system for decades. Same with my useless baby popping neighbors who just can't seem to put condoms on the shopping list in lieu of steak and lobster tail. A taker is a taker regardless of what color their skin is. However, just to entertain your post, there ar...more

2 months until next budget crisis?

The fix is quite simple. Leave the middle class alone, as they are the backbone of this country. Tax the rich a bit more, and close up some of the tax loopholes that allow tools like Mitt Romney to pay a 15% tax rate. Then, perform a massive overhaul of welfare and food stamps and make it embarrassing for people to hav...more

5 states to increase class time in some...

The problem isn't the length of the school day, it's the complete lack of parenting and parental support the students get at home. All this does is give more time to the freeloader parents to go out and get wasted without having to worry about where their kid is. If states really want to see serious results, create a m...more
