I don't feel the need to showoff. I prefer sleepers. Thats why I continually build 11 second SUVs and sedans. I could do a 10 second Mustang or Corvette, but why? Everybody expects them to be quick. Nobody expects to get roasted by a truck.
"Should be doing"? We should be following some ridiculous signs, for speed limits that are significantly lower than the roads can handle? No. To me, and most other drivers, the Speed Limits signs are nothing but a suggestion. If traffic and conditions allow, we're going way over it, the same way as when conditions don'...more
Great, more ****s doing the speed limit and getting in the way. Stay in the right lane people and we'll be fine. Get in my left and there are gonna be problems. 555hp in a 5300lb SUV don't like doing 55mph and will flatten anything in its way. Just ask all the bugs splattered on the front fascia and in the grilles and ...more
200hp??? I haven't owned anything with less than 400 in the last 6 years! 3 of the last 4 have had more than 550. The vehicles don't want to go 55mph. They want to be able to run out on the highway.
No matter who you are, you cannot shift faster then a computer controlled automatic transmission. They do it in fractions of a second. You can't. Get with the program, let the manual die.
I'd put my X5 M up against your 302 any day. Your 3.9 relies on you finding traction, which doesn't happen. I can pull 4.0s over and over and over thanks to the AWD and Launch Control, in a 5300lb SUV.
