This comment makes an interesting point. Walmart is crying about their customers tax refunds to provide money for their customers to spend. Hope those customer get those refunds and spend the money somewhere else.
The Execs would never get to the check out line. They would be too busy in the management office cutting employees hours and jobs to meet cost quotas...and they certainly wouldn't buy Walmart junk for their own families.
Actually, they care a lot about their "stock value", as that is the basis for their multibillion dollar net worth. The ONLY way to get to a billionaire is through his/her brokerage account.
"Profits" were once considered the surplus cash after deduction of all costs of production. Walmart has made a science of finding surplus cash by exploiting the means of production. Like the others on this thread, I won't intentionally exploit my fellow man (and woman) by shopping at the 21st century flea market.
