Many of us would love to see government spending balanced, there can be little doubt that that is where it should be. But the uber-rich use a lot of infrastructure to make the big bucks, but seem to want the middle and low income earners to carry the load of maintaining it for them.
Flat tax would be a boon for the ...more
Almost makes you want to turn vigilante, doesn't it? Constant, effortful vigilance, is what is needed to deal with all these people, in today's world. It would be so very refreshing to find a truly honest person, to deal with.
Congress needs to implement its own auterety measures, starting with themselves, as an example. Reduce staff to the bare bones, NO perks, cut their own wages to minimum wage, as well as their staff's. They expect americans to live on it, so should they! NO more pork barrel projects, PERIOD! If $5 gas is good then maybe $10 is better or perhaps $15. Lynn can volunteer to pay whatever! The rest of us NEED gas to be under $3, at least!
For those of the commentors who believe that corporations are being fair to their workers, an article recently stated that in the last reported year, CEO wages went up 34% while workers wages barely made it 3.3%. Now , tell me that something is NOT out of kilter!
We can do something about manufacturing jobs, sim...more
Education should be able to be viewed as obtainable, not something only for the few. It would be nice if it was viewed as desirable for itself alone, not simply a path to a fat payday. If its cost is too high, and we need more grads, and we do need more grads, maybe it's to review our methods. I don't have answers, ...more
