Better hope the tax code does not change to a flat sales tax model in the future. If so, you will have pre-paid taxes on your Roth, i.e. put in money post tax and then pay again when you use the money later in the form of a sales tax.
Even this story is patently wrong. "and according to estimates there aren't even enough nickels in circulation anyway"? Whose estimate? Mine got 50mpg in 1977. Frankly, I have no idea why 31 years later they now get about half of that mileage. Even the new and very similarly sized Honda Fit gets 28 city/34 highway mpg!! ****? 100 MPG certainly has been possible for many years, just not implemented. Just my opinion.
