Sigfreed and Roy is a ridiculous comparison. Those lions were SHOW animals. They were treated much differently and probably lived in near constant stress.

I'm spending $700 on a preowned Watters dress and I would never dream of ruining it. To me $700 is a lot of money for one dress! I plan on saving it to pass along should I have a daughter someday. eyeswideopen2 - Normal for humans is having one head per body. You both make good points. I've always thought the way I described in my initial post, but I'm open to these different opinions. I'll watch the show and see if I can find a different perspective.

You're right, I am. I was lucky enough to be born without a major defect so I don't have a clue how they really feel. & if you're like me, you don't either. Just keep in mind plenty of people that seem happy & well adjusted are putting on a show. You never know what a person really feels.

Wow I can't believe how nice all of your comments are, thank you. I'll admit I went through a stage of resentment towards my parents.
