No surprise here.  I am a dentist and I see this almost weekly.  It is true, a total lack of hygiene probably played a small roll, but drinking that much carbonated beverage takes a lot of time.  Sugar/Acid, teeth and time don't mix.  We have a saying, "Sip all day, get decay."
