Ok, the first paragraph says they can't, the second says they can!  Wow!  Everything now a days goes to your credit score.  Its a shame too, something so trivial as a credit check from an employer will mark your credit score!  And it will take 10 plus years for it to go away!   Its all a bunch of crap!
